Terms of use
The rules governing access to the Studicap service, ordering a service and delivery of the report.
Last updated: 20 August 2026
Purpose
These terms set out the rules for accessing and using the Studicap service, together with the arrangements for ordering, performing and delivering the service.
They form the contract between the publisher, identified in the legal notice, and the user, namely the parent or holder of parental responsibility who subscribes to the service for their child.
Acceptance
Creating an account and confirming an order constitute full acceptance of these terms, in the version in force on the date of the order.
The user declares that they are of full age, have the legal capacity to contract and hold parental responsibility for the child for whom the service is ordered.
Description of the service
Studicap offers an online assessment intended to inform parents about their child's learning profile and interests. The service unfolds in four stages:
- The parent creates their account, registers their child and states the child's country of schooling and school year.
- They choose the matching offer and pay for the order online.
- Through their parent, the child receives a personal link and a temporary access code allowing them to answer the questionnaire at their own pace, with the option to resume later.
- A report is produced from the answers and then sent to the parent as a PDF by email.
Account and credentials
The user undertakes to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. A valid email address is essential: it is used to verify the account and to send the invoice, the questionnaire invitation and the report.
Credentials are personal and confidential. The user is responsible for keeping them safe and for actions carried out from their account. In the event of loss, unauthorised use or suspected compromise, they must inform the publisher without delay and change their password.
Orders, prices and payment
Prices are shown inclusive of all taxes, in the currency applicable to the country selected for the order. The price that applies is the one displayed at the time of confirmation, less any discount.
Payment is made online through an approved payment provider. No bank card details are entered or stored on the publisher's servers. The order becomes firm only once payment is confirmed by that provider.
An invoice is issued and sent by email as soon as payment is confirmed. A promotional code is valid only within its validity period, its number of uses and the scope for which it was issued.
Right of withdrawal
A consumer user has fourteen days from the conclusion of the contract to exercise their right of withdrawal, without having to give reasons. The request is sent to the email address shown in the legal notice.
Performance of the service begins as soon as the questionnaire access link is sent. By requesting that immediate dispatch, the user expressly agrees to performance starting before the end of the period and loses the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed, that is, once the report has been delivered.
As long as the questionnaire has not been submitted, withdrawal remains possible and a refund is made within fourteen days of the request, using the same means of payment.
The child's access to the questionnaire
The child accesses the questionnaire through a personal link and a temporary access code sent to the parent. The code is single-use and expires at the end of its validity period; the parent can request a new one from their area.
The parent ensures suitable conditions: the child should answer for themselves, free from influence, in a quiet setting. Answers given by someone else or dictated to the child distort the report and deprive it of any value.
The questionnaire may be interrupted and resumed; it becomes final on submission, after which answers can no longer be changed.
Scope and limits of the report
The report is a guidance document intended to inform parents' thinking and their dialogue with teachers. It rests on the child's self-reported answers and on automated analysis.
It is neither a medical diagnosis, nor a psychological or speech-and-language assessment, nor an official school evaluation, nor a professional opinion. It cannot replace consulting a qualified practitioner, particularly where a learning difficulty is suspected.
Its relevance depends on the sincerity and independence of the answers. The publisher guarantees no academic outcome, no particular orientation and no fitness for any specific plan.
User obligations
The user undertakes to use the service in good faith. The following are prohibited in particular:
- Sharing, reselling or publishing the access link, the access code or the report for commercial purposes.
- Attempting to access questionnaires, answers or accounts that are not your own.
- Disrupting the operation of the service, testing its security without written permission, or extracting its content on a large scale.
- Uploading any unlawful or malicious file, or any file unrelated to the question asked.
- Providing false information, in particular about identity, the child's age or the status of holder of parental responsibility.
- Reproducing or adapting the questionnaires, the methodology or the reports beyond the personal use permitted.
Intellectual property
The service, its questionnaires, its methodology, its texts and its reports are protected. Placing an order grants the user a personal, non-transferable right to use the report concerning their child.
They may freely keep it, print it and share it with teachers or professionals supporting the child. Any other use, in particular commercial use, requires prior written authorisation.
Availability and liability
The publisher uses reasonable means to keep the service available, without guaranteeing uninterrupted operation. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates or events of force majeure.
The publisher's liability is limited to direct and foreseeable damage and may not exceed the amount actually paid for the order concerned. It cannot be engaged for the consequences of a decision taken on the sole basis of the report, nor for a failure of the user's network, device or email service.
If the service cannot be performed through the publisher's fault, the user is entitled to a full refund.
Personal data
The processing of personal data is governed by the privacy policy, which forms an integral part of these terms.
By ordering the service, the user, as holder of parental responsibility, consents to the processing of their child's data for the purposes described in that policy.
Term, suspension and termination
The account is opened for an indefinite term. The user may request its closure at any time; services already performed remain payable and data is kept for as long as legal obligations require.
The publisher may suspend or close an account, having informed its holder, in the event of serious breach of these terms, payment fraud or use that harms the security of the service. Where the seriousness requires it, suspension may be immediate.
Changes to the terms
The publisher may amend these terms, in particular to reflect changes in the service or in the applicable regulations. The version that applies to an order is the one in force on the day it is confirmed.
Orders in progress are not affected by a later amendment. The date of the last update appears at the top of this document.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law, without this clause depriving the consumer of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence in the European Union.
In the event of difficulty, the user is invited to contact the publisher first, which undertakes to seek an amicable solution. Failing agreement, they may use a consumer mediator free of charge or refer the matter to the European online dispute resolution platform.
Failing amicable settlement, the dispute is brought before the courts having jurisdiction under the ordinary rules.
